|The Queensland Outdoor Recreation Awards recognise and reward excellence in the outdoor recreation community. The Awards celebrate individuals and organisations that have been successful in significantly improving outdoor recreation outcomes for participants and clients.|
The Queensland Outdoor Recreation Awards are an important means of recognizing the size and diversity of the outdoor recreation community and industry. They are also a means of recognising how important outdoor recreation is to the lifestyle of Queenslanders.

With the long term goal of promoting healthy active lifestyles by encouraging individuals, families, friends and clubs to enjoy the great outdoors, GACO is a one night 'camp-out' across the country with the aim of introducing people to the fun and adventure of camping out.

State Conference held by Queensland Outdoor Recreation Federation (QORF) and Outdoor Educator’s Association of Queensland (OEAQ) focussed on professional development opportunities for the outdoor recreation sector and included a mix of presentations, practical workshops, social and educational opportunities, and the chance to network with colleagues and peers.
