| Forestry Plantations Queensland Sold |
On May 18, the Queensland Government announced the sale of Forestry Plantations Queensland (FPQ) to Hancock Queensland Plantations Limited (Hancock Timber)

In a recent letter from FPQ we have been assured that "FPQ has been sold as a 'going concern' and will continue to operate under its current structure"
For QORF members and users this means "there will be no direct impact on existing commercial arrangements. FPQ will continue with exisiting permit arrangements for access to State Plantation Forests and will ensure the same public access rights that are enjoyed now"
"Operationally it will be business as usual and you will continue to deal with the same staff in the same locations that you previously dealt with"
