Slow down when approaching blind spots such as corners. |

Ensure you have the proper equipment: pump, spare tube, tyre levers, water, food. If you are in a remote area notify friends, relatives and/or the proper authorities, eg a ranger, of your intended route. Carry a mobile phone if possible. |

Ensure you have the proper permits to access the venue. |

Obey all permit conditions and safety or closure notices. |
