The program allows people to  join MTBA for eight weeks receiving in essence all benefits of full members;  (free trial members don’t receive the same insurance benefits as full members – they receive less for Personal Accident.)

Free trial members can participate in all events and experience riding their bike with the comfort of MTBA insurance and central to the programs success, free trial members upon signing up are linked to three local MTB clubs in their area, and in reverse the clubs are advised of the new free trial member in their area.

The program has enabled club to introduce numerous MTB riders to the experience the enjoyment of riding in club activities and to be part of a club community.

The free trial program continues to strengthen and has been extremely successful in engaging prospective new members or simply enabling people experience MTB with all the benefits of MTBA membership and Club support.

Building from its original concept, which was designed to introduce new people to riding and enjoying MTBA specific programs without the initial cost, the program will now introduce a new level of engagement partnering with local bike shops.

To be rolled out soon there will be an opportunity to to join MTBA’s Free Trial membership program when purchasing your mountain bike from selected local bike shops.
